Aurora Jarrett

Aurora was born in Stockton, California, and never imagined herself as a dancer growing up—she always thought she was “too clumsy.” It wasn’t until she started working at the front desk at Aria Ballroom that everything changed. Surrounded by an encouraging and supportive team, Aurora gave dancing a try and quickly fell in love with it.

Though she hasn’t danced competitively (yet!), Aurora has enjoyed performing in staff showcases—often in fun costumes—and hopes to one day experience the magic of a real competition, complete with a sparkling dress and the chance to float across the floor.

While she’s not an instructor, Aurora plays a vital role in the Aria community. She loves getting to meet new people every day and welcoming them into the studio. Watching students take on new challenges and grow more confident each time they return brings her genuine joy.

For Aurora, the best part of dancing is how it clears the mind—when you’re focused on the steps and technique, everything else fades away.

Fun Facts

  • Aurora has not always been a dancer, but she has always been surrounded by music! She was active in choir and orchestra throughout her school years, was the first person ever accepted into a private community choir outside its members, who had grown up in the program, played guitar and piano, and even auditioned for American Idol.
  • In her free time, Aurora can often be found curled up getting lost in books, or wandering around book/craft stores. She finds more calming activities to be the most fun, unless she is hanging out with friends and family.
  • Aurora is also a big fan of fun nails and colorful hair! You'll often find her with a different look almost every month, she likes expressing her creativity outwardly and loves the smiles it brings to kids faces when they see what new things she comes up with.
