Gabrielle Smith
Born and raised in Washington, Gabrielle was always on the move. From a young age, she trained in Ballet, Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, and gymnastics, building a strong foundation in movement and musicality. At 20, she discovered the world of Ballroom dance, and it instantly felt like home.
Since then, Gabrielle has been passionately immersed in competitive dancing. She began in the International Latin and Standard styles before teaming up with her current partner, Adrian. Today, the duo competes in both International Latin and Theatre Arts Cabaret, earning recognition for their creativity, bold choreography, and boundary-pushing performances.
Gabrielle brings the same energy and dedication to her teaching as she does to her dancing. Whether you’re just starting out or preparing for competition, she loves helping dancers grow and finds joy in watching their progress. Gabrielle is available to teach a wide range of styles; from International to American, Club and Wedding Dances, as well as coaching and competing with her competitive students!
Achievements:
- U.S. National Championships, Amateur Adult Cabaret – Vice Champion 2024
Fun Facts
- Cabaret is her favorite dance style! Even though it’s the toughest challenge she has ever faced, there is just nothing that compares to the feeling of literally flying (she has also been told people google her when they read this fact, so the link to one of their routines is here to save you the trouble!) She is also draw to the fast and fun dances, and so loves Samba, Paso, Quickstep, Jive, and Salsa among the more conventional ballroom dances.
- In her free time, Gabrielle can often be found playing video games with her friends and family – she was a video game producer before she became a dance teacher and the gaming stuck.
- Gabrielle grew up with three cats on a lake and frankly not much has changed; she still has three cats, still lives on a lake, with a love for swimming, kayaks, frogs, turtles, and ducks.
